someone here still doesn't get it. i think.

*sigh* time for my usual freedom-of-speech-in-blogs rant.

see, i was reading mark's blog and i saw his latest post. although it may be a really old post (two months old), it got my adrenaline started because apparently - someone still doesn't get it. well, a part of it. it's on the topic of leiron and, you know.

here's what he posted (thankfully it's quite short):

once more - i will dissect. the most scientific way to go.

tatanga tanga kasi - true.

hinde nya naisip na pag nakita iyon nang principal namin ay siya ay makakasuhan... - i've confirmed this a thousand and one times: under the right circumstances, and i assure you, leiron was under the right circumstances, you cannot, in a million years, be punished for this. yaps said it; blog at home. which he (leiron) did.

iiniisip naman nitong isa kong kaibigan na pikon na pikon sakin sa magic na dapat daw ay hindi siya kasuhan dahil daw hindi naman daw lumalabag sa rules ng eskwelahan namin iyoong ginawa ni leiron! onga tama ka hindi nga labag... - see above. hindi nga siya labag. hindi rin ako labag. kung gawin mo rin yun, hindi ka rin lalabag.

pero naman! hindi mo ba naisip na mali ang ginawa nya at talagang dapat na siya ay parusahan? - you're saying we should screw the constitution? he was exercising freedom of speech; what leiron did was neither right nor wrong, it borders on the neutral. if the principal ever decided to punish leiron, that would be counted as a personal vendetta - and that wouldn't be very fair, now would it?

sabi nga nang tatay ko na pwede ka pa nga makulong sa mga gawaing ganyan! - if we were under marcos, yeah, it's possible. but that's a very big if (obviously).

kaya guys and girls...learn this lesson.. NEVER!!...i repeat..NEVER!!...EVERR!!! PUT AN INSULT TO SOMEONE IN THE NET - talk about a hypocrite. how come i see, "janvit bakla" in your blog? hehe - it's all good anyway.

ESPECIALLY IF HES A SCHOOL OFFICIAL!!!! - if very very necessary to do so only. see my paascu rants. factual example: i recall that the freshmen's (aka incoming sophomore) CL teacher loved to curse (a lot) during basketball games. what a huge hypocrite, man. (did i get that mr. delos santos correctly? it might be a different one, but i think that's him - not sir rolly though)

you might share she same fate as leiron did... kasi pwede kang makasuhan nito at makulong.. - does anyone else know that i was actually waiting for my turn? since i knew i would be caught sooner or later, i prepared a small diatribe. anyway, as said above, the last sentence is null and void.

and another thing.. wag tatanga tanga pag nag susulat sa blog.. alam ko lag galit ka na gusto mong magwala sa iyong blog...pero naman.. isipin mo mababasa nang maraming tao iyan..at baka may mag sumbong kung may masamang meaning yan.. kaya dudes.. calm down lng..hehe... - you can never tell someone how or what to write in his or her blog (unless the content drives the blog to the point where it is literally and/or figuratively unreadable. *ubo* julian was like that back then...) i believe that the weblog has risen to the level where it is considered a form of art, and it can be a masterpiece if you do it properly and in an entertaining way (and as a side note, i also believe that the most degenerate kind of blog is the blog that usually describes what happened during your day. the second most degenerate is the one that has a lot of spelling and grammar errors.). you cannot calm down when you absolutely have to write about someone you hate or when you have to express your joy. so if you read a blog and are thus offended, remember two things: you cannot change what is written, and the red x button is free to use.

lol. i guess all of you are used to this kind of rant already. sorry, i couldn't let it pass up :P
