reminisce to when: summer before grade 6
what was i playing back then: smackdown! 2 (know your role), street sk8er 2, tony hawk 2, wild arms 2, final fantasy tactics, final fantasy IX, counter-strike, starcraft (was playing with stardraft), and a bit of marvel vs. capcom.

i'd also quit magic only to find that i would be playing it again three years later.

yesterday, i rediscovered what it feels like to have the wind touching your face as you speed idly by the village. i've relearned how to ride the bike (but it's not like i forgot how to) and i learned to love it once more.

as i was speeding laps over the village circuit (i live in a small subdivision in sta. rosa, laguna. it's called a province, and it's pretty windy outside.) i took myself back in my mind which has an internal tv (and an internal radio whose playlist seems to surprise me all the time, really), to a time when i signed in as lombardia from playing too much wild arms, when i was having fun with the loop in mexico, when i along with my brother and cousin could walk several meters downtown to have two hours of CS (with a screen name of The_One and/or Ifrit) and prancing around de_dust/cs_mexico/de_dust2/cs_militia/cs_italy (memz!!!), and when i could actually play starcraft online from my old laptop thru battle.net. yes, those were the memories.

i truly remember the fragfests we would have in de_dust (the most popular level in CS. evarrr) or cs_italy (because there was a singing tenor in the background) and the changing of tactics (most of us preferred to have an arctic for sniping, but i can actually kill with a steyr scout with 2-3 shots to the head) and the popular kutsilyohan under/near the bridge.

now if only i could get to a netopia without people playing an MMORPG. i want to frag.
