three-way dance.
one, i got in lsyc. i was semi-ecstatic and i let my jaw hang loose for a few moments when p.y. told me that i go to jackie (yihee ka dyan vicky. nge :P) and mark. after keeping my cool somewhat, they said that i was in. wowie prayers work wonders ;)
two, leiron told me (in his defense, perhaps) that ignorance is bliss. i heartily disagree. if i had the chance to go back in time and rewrite that phrase, i would say that ignorance is doom. why? it pays to know. even if i know that i do not know, i think that it be better to know as much as i possibly can. then again, sometimes, just sometimes, maybe ignorance is bliss; but i do know that most of the time, for me at least, it isn't.
three, my mother found our old, faithful, kaisa-isang koosh ball. memories began to flood within me. i remember that i let them use this kooshball so that i could join them in touch/dodgeball (call it whatever you want); in time, as i played more, i got better. i was, say, a tier-2 or tier-3 player. i couldn't throw, but i could dodge like hell. i also remember the games 5-C would have against 5-A or 5-B; sometimes even the batch which are now the seniors would challenge us. we would come back to our classrooms sweating like pigs; this went on until sir fabian got fed up with all our sweat and stench, and banned touch/dodgeball after he had banned cops & robbers. this kooshball even visited a roof gutter after a botched upward throw. ah, memories. memories indeed.
someone please take me to watch fantastic four :P

when you gots to have it the right way
i will not cover/add to this week's surge of anti-school system posts; i believe jam, fozzy, and vicky have lit the fire enough already.
instead i will blog about something that is spreading like a plague amongst the world. (no, not hale, i'm saving that for another day :D) it's the misuse of the apostrophe (case in point: ' ). on the way home from pansol yesterday, my parents launched into a small discussion on how everyone and their mother (except me, of course, and some few people) is misusing the apostrophe these days. it's like a mockery of how to create a sensible sentence.
take for example:
i have bought a cat. it's name is pusy.
or
look! up in the sky! its a bird! its a plane! no, its supermen! (sarcastic caution: supermen is intentional.)
don't you just hate those? i do. it's a sign of inferiority. (look at me, i'm being all perfectionist again. hello dianne.) i am prone to making those mistakes; if i ever do, i catch myself in the act and quickly revise it - because if i don't, my conscience will haunt me.
where did this problem stem from? it's probably from the short-handedness of ym and texting. whatever belongs to ym and texting, it stays there. whatever belongs to the real world, stays in the real world. you shorthand things in irc or text (i don't shorthand in ym anymore) but you should never ever ever ever shorthand things in blogs and term papers and essays and whatnot.
you may not know it, but you do it too, you know. it pisses me off - i'm a grammar nazi.

nonoy's laptop
yesterday was probably the funnest english period ever. (hopefully, something better will top that.) due to its being after recess, we had a short puzzle bubble open. and because i was able to finish round 20 faster than fern could finish round 19, i stood up to cheers, applause, and high-fives :D
and after the whole lesson we got to snoop around nonoy's laptop. there was a ton of madonna mp3s, an old-school NFS 2, and a candid picture.
"wowie, paano kaya kung may sir sabilano scandal?"
nonoy: "samaaa!"

music rants / your boy's a bad man
[rodney, di pa ito ang anti-hale blog. i think i need a go-signal from my sister.]
what's with kelly clarkson's new image? looks like she took some sort of dip into goth/angsty teen. at least, the hazel eyes video reminds me of evanescence.
i want the albums all that remains and you can't see me.
i still can't quite get the message from the marion raven song (end of me), aside from the fact that it pretty much explains her new self. but the lines, "stay with me / as i'm getting naked / stripped down to the floor" are a bit too gigi for me, if you catch my drift.
"delivering monologues in front of a crowd, either small or huge, are nerve-wracking for me; the factors present in the mix are stage fright, shock (sometimes), anxiety, and a fear of loss for words, all due to the spontaneous nature of the said activity."
that's 45 words. i want that incentive.

i feel restricted
i'm in ECH-TI-EM-EL class right now. i feel dumb because most of my classmates here don't know how to code (or has forgotten), and i feel like i'm beaten down to their level.
please, i design my own layouts. don't treat me like i don't know this.
P.S. - ibarra, mag-ingat ka.

if you had the money to spend
while i was traipsing across the interweb, i found this on chio's blog.
1. Three material things you can't live without:
- my phone
- my wallet
- my watch
(they're like my limbs. for you aspiring thieves, i always, always keep my phone on the right pocket and my wallet on the left. always.)
2. Top 3 clothing brands:
- polo
- old navy
- ???
3. Scents you love...
- On yourself: i'm not very picky, per se. just give me anything and i'll spray it on myself. usually i'm wearing axe dimension. (doesn't have to be fancy)
- On the opposite sex: doesn't matter as long as mabango
4. Brand of gel (guys), hairspray (girls)
- i don't wear gel. anymore, that is.
5. Anti-depressants:
- music, chocolates, and a good meal.
6. The one thing you'd like to change/remove from your body:
- teeth. ;)
7. Do you wear... briefs or boxers? (guys) strap bras or strapless bras?
- boxer briefs (they are sooo comfortable. i'd like to do away with the old briefs)
8. mp3 Player of choice
- unfortunately, nasa pc eh. xmplay. (suri walang ipod. di ako mayaman :P)
9. Favorite shopping places: (define shopping muna)
- doesn't
- really
- matter
10. Country you'd like to live in someday:
- hmm... i don't know.
11. Your life goals (list three):
- have a big house and a good family.
- be a pro player and win the player of the year award (magic 'to. i consider it as a sport)
- meet papi. no, kidding. win an invitational and get my face on a card. or better than that, spearhead a design team.
12. Do you think vanity is bad?
- yes, it's bad, if your blog is cluttered with pictures of you to the point na nagca-crash na yung mga pc ng ibang tao kapag pumunta sila. *ubo*
- but seriously, too much vanity is bad - especially when you use that vanity to one-up others.
13. How about materialism?
- it depends on how you were raised; you must master your own psychology to really answer this.
- my answer would be no, it wouldn't. but you have to be smart.
14. How do you usually dress up casually?
- shorts, sandals, any shirt, watch / pants, sneakers, any shirt, watch
15. Do you love buying stuff? Just for the sake of buying?
- not quite.
16. Are you...
- Materialistic? not very sure
- Vain? to some extent
- Obsessive-compulsive? no - i'm a mess
- A health buff? not really... i frown upon hardcore health buffs.
- Outgoing? to some extent
- In love? under debate
- Depressed? right now? no, i'm not a trainwreck
- A compulsive buyer? eh? not quite
- A drug addict? hell no
17. Can you...
- Sing? it depends on what voice i'm using to sing
- Dance? of course ;)
- Play the guitar? not very much
- Write well? handwriting ba? if so, yes. if you're talking about essays, then i'll go out and be biased by saying yes
- Perform a toe-touch jump, back handspring back tuck, and a herkie? wtf?
- Roll your tongue? i'm currently trying to, and it looks like i can't
- Act? yes, to some extent (if only someone taped that dramafest.)
18. Any fears?
- heights (i'm just afraid if i look down) and flirty gays
19. Do you think money makes the world go round?
- it does, so i'm not going to argue.
20. What do you look for in the opposite sex?
- self-esteem and self-confidence. OPTIMISM. (i've known so much pessimists that they actually begin to piss me off while i'm trying to tolerate them)
21. Three people you'd like to take this quiz:
- those who took
- the other two
- quizzes from me
22. Finally! Do you love me?
- if you are who i think you are, then yes!

week in review / OH-EM-GEE
so far, week's been good. only shocking moments are ms. vicky's god-damned list of procedures, and the fact that mr. sabilano has decided to put us through impromptu speaking.
how did he do that? by taking us by surprise.
---
OH-EM-GEE.
noypidity comment:
hi your blog is great. Lot's of good funny wowowee stuff to reminisce here.
Btw, I added your blog site in www.kapamilya.now.nu
Thanks, and keep up the great work on the blog -- very entertaining."
[we're listed on the links page as "Wowowee funny moments blog". lol]
and while we're on the topic, those of you who have never been to noypidity at least once in your lifetime, go here now.
btw, congrats papi - hopefully you can make this marriage last. also, i swear that i will update noypidity tomorrow and on monday - we're expecting lots of readers. hopefully.

not as bad as i expected.
my class is under mr. sabilano (familiar to some freshmen). he isn't viroomal-ish, which is a big plus. the day was boring in itself; batista, our own adviser, and that sir tom clone had big periods of patlang, and they filled it up quite nice, one way or the other. but during that, the worst was dreaded. in those periods of utter boredom, it was utter boredom. why? this was no SB - there was no leiron or fozzy to talk to, there was no dianne to pester, and it wasn't worth changing seats, even if i have to talk to angelic out of pure boredom. (no offense, angelic.) i even caught myself before writing "S-B" on that booklet profile form. maybe when karlo comes, that's all going to change. hopefully. oh, and yaps arrived.
anyway, the rest of the afternoon was spent on kabangagan - repeating the words "do you like your vehbeh" and "ECH-TE-EM-EL" (HTML), and singing that vengaboys song. "di ako sasali. di ako sasali."
how was your first day?

ETA: 17 hours. and counting.
17 hours until we are reacquainted with the sound of the bell ringing again.
only that we're not entering the same classrooms.
only that we won't be interacting with the same people.
only that we're going to be staring down a new teacher.
only that we're going to find new seatmates.
only that we're facing new subjects.
to swing it in a positive light, at least we get to see each other again. tomorrow, expect me to be leaving late. which means i have the whole afternoon. looks like more adventures with rodney.

the last friday we'll ever spend together
as it stands now, there is the weekend left standing between us and school year 2005-2006.
once again we'll be cramming, cooking, studying, passing, failing (yeah, some of us will be. i don't plan to anymore), wishing for the weekends, doing experiment papers, begging teachers, grumbling at bitching teachers, doing homework, losing our minds on physics (for you sophomores, you'll be losing your minds in trig and chemistry), practicing for intrams, and many others that escape my mind right now.
although, i would like to imagine how this year's fair would be like.
and once march rolls by again, you'll be wishing that the school year wouldn't end, much like how you're wishing the summer wouldn't end.

it's gone. the madness, it's gone.
life was feeling pretty chipper when it decided to black out all of sta. rosa today. (yep, i've learned a new word.) anyway, thanks to jam, who preserved my sanity, i turned out fine.
although, in the span of time wherein the power was out, i couldn't help but:
- engage in a few lightsaber duels
- practice violin
- kumapa ng kanta sa piano (i was able to find the chorus of signs)
- role-play with my toys, involving my SP as a laptop
- have aragorn slay a three-times-bigger-than-him buzz lightyear
- sing my lungs out (bo-style :D)
- read the english book. the first few parts are about mythology - nothing new there. roman mythology should never ever EVER be mixed with greek; although it is arbitrarily the same, the names don't go well each other.
- eat those damn delicious fudge-filled cupcakes.
- play with the small batmobile.

the news will display anything.
i can hear my dad in the other room tune in to TV patrol, and they're doing a coverage on Idol. if you didn't know already, carrie won.
the thing is, it's amazing how the philippines will cover something like this. i'm not sure about the demographics that Idol hits, but if it's hitting the "masses", then i'll be. the news will make sense. but if not, why bother?
it's really amazing that the news will make a fuss out of that.

(8) the trouble with duff is... (8)
i've just heard the song what dreams are made of, not because i wanted to, but because justin was tuned in to disney channel. and as you know, they like to play songs from their movies (it's actually not half-bad. a whole new world is addictive) and this is what came out, due to the lizzie movie showing on tv on saturday.
what i believe the problem with hilary duff and her music career isn't her excessive arm fat, nor her teeny-bopper sound (although fly sort of gets rid of that), but because she's not made to sing. (duhhh.)
she's straining her voice on the songs, making them sound horrible. if she's so rich, she should get some voice lessons. have you heard fly? it's horrible because she sounds too flat.
so what should she do about that? learn from whitney houston or celine dion, i guess. or to fellow disney star christy carlson-romano. she can sing.

don't shoot the messenger. nor the journalist. nor the blogger.
in the midst of my smackdown vs. raw gaming this afternoon, i switched channels (due to the now loading screen) and stumbled upon a commercial for a journalist's summit whose name i don't recall right now. (the commercial is on mtv, i think. look for it if you're interested.) the commercial was stating that 500 journalists were killed over the last 10 years - 'cause the Powers That Be (tm) don't like what they're hearing.
i started thinking... if they can have journalists killed because they spread "propaganda", what more of bloggers? we spread info too, you know... at least, the serious ones.
what do you think? will we have bulls-eyes on our foreheads in the near future?

i've said it many times before - i'll miss this class. the little black notebook, the thin orange notebook, and the small grey filler (aka 1.5) reminded me of all this.

you gotta watch the news. it's good for you.
one, the government is passing a bill to "outlaw the discrimination of the third sex". tae naman eh. this takes the fun away from everything; i'm suspecting this is senator osmena's doing. tae.
two, our mayor has been assassinated earlier today. by a woman. (yaps hihirit ka ba?) the popular theory as of now is that it was the NPA's doing. apparently their modus operandi is that if they need to assassinate a man, a woman gets the gun, and vice versa.
and because of this, GMA, ABS-CBN, and the other stations are setting up camp in our backyard. julius babao has broadcasted the news live earlier today, complete with the jologs who pose as extras in the background.
three, although unrelated, defenders of the catholic faith (aka those who have joined in the fray versus 77truthseeker) would might want to go read this; it concerns the two personas of 77truthseeker and god_jesus_810.
the reason mariah carey is such a good singer is because her lungs are big.

what is that?
if you were wondering what that little button below the comments link was, first i'd have to suggest you click on it before you ask. (i mean, duh. :P)
but anyway if anyone needs explaining, it's a little project that the Great Minds™ that documents all stupid (and therefore funny) answers to be heard on Wowowee. if you wanna follow along, tune in to ABS-CBN at 1 o' clock - monday through saturday.
i fixed the link to my wishlist, in accordance to yaps's comment. :D if you're still interested in it, click here.
[edit] little anti-truthseekerism joke. sneaked it offa RD and twisted it a bit. that's acknowledgment for you :P
it was the first year of religion class, and this six-year-old kid is already starting to argue the lessons with the teacher.
the teacher taught the class that "God made everything", but the kid (let's call him Stanford :P) immediately stood up and objected.
"God doesn't make everything," Stanford argued. "most things are made in China."
eh. kids :P [/edit]

too much internet [almost] kills the faith.
too much surfing the internet for interesting content is almost shaking my preset faith and beliefs. i guess that's what an overabundance of sub-par blogs do to someone like me.
here's the latest "too-scientifically inferior-to-be-true" thing i've discovered:
the earth doesn't move! *gasp*!
not really sure if you've found it but i just thought i'd bring it to your attention. good evening.

are we having fun yet?
first off, to get this out of the way.
in loving memory of constantine maroulis (parang may namatay eh :P)
Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?
Caught in a landslide, No escape from reality
Open your eyes, Look up to the skies and see,
I'm just a poor boy, I need no sympathy
Because I'm easy come, easy go, Little high, little low
Any way the wind blows doesn't really matter to me, to me
Mama, just killed a man, Put a gun against his head
Pulled my trigger, now he's dead
Mama, life had just begun
But now I've gone and thrown it all away
Mama, ooh, Didn't mean to make you cry
If I'm not back again this time tomorrow
carry on, carry on as if nothing really matters
Too late, my time has come
Sends shivers down my spine, body's aching all the time
Goodbye, ev'rybody, I've got to go
Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth
Mama, ooh, I don't want to die
I sometimes wish I'd never been born at all
I see a little silhouetto of a man
Scaramouche, Scaramouche, will you do the Fandango
Thunderbolt and lightning, very, very fright'ning me
(Galileo.) Galileo. (Galileo.) Galileo, Galileo figaro
Magnifico. I'm just a poor boy and nobody loves me
He's just a poor boy from a poor family
Spare him his life from this monstrosity
Easy come, easy go, will you let me go
Bismillah! No, we will not let you go
(Let him go!) Bismillah! We will not let you go
(Let him go!) Bismillah! We will not let you go
(Let me go.) Will not let you go
(Let me go.) Will not let you go. (Let me go.) Ah
No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
(Oh mama mia, mama mia.) Mama mia, let me go
Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me, for me, for me
So you think you can stone me and spit in my eye
So you think you can love me and leave me to die
Oh, baby, can't do this to me, baby
Just gotta get out, just gotta get right outta here
Nothing really matters, Anyone can see
Nothing really matters
Nothing really matters to me
Any way the wind blows
for those whose dads don't play tapes of queen's greatest hits in the car, it's supposed to be sung as a semi-musical of sorts.
imagine my pleasant surprise earlier today when the first thing i see this afternoon is a file labeled jamina muñasque.
jam: aw. don't act like you don't know.
you got me.

join the crusade.
if only there were web moderators like in forums. then they would have enough reason to kick this guy where he oughta be kicked. (for those who don't know, i suggest you click that, and automatically read the comments, where the action is.)
by the way, shouldn't lj's agreement of terms and/or rules prohibit topics as extreme as that?
mr. truthseeker is definitely a protestant, who is overadvertising his beliefs and is ostracizing the other religions. (yes, that means catholicism as well. he's saying that we're bullshit.)
i might need to write the rebuttal i need to write somewhere else, for i'm sure you won't be able to read it here.
yaps_02: what is he on? LSD?
dragon_flip24: probably something stronger
yaps_02: what's stronger than LSD? even I don't know...
dragon_flip24: same here
yaps_02: i have the solution...
yaps_02: WHAT WOULD JESUS DO?
dragon_flip24: yeah!
dragon_flip24: what would jesus do?
yaps_02: he would smite this guy
dragon_flip24: for twisting his words
dragon_flip24: but then jesus doesn't smite
yaps_02: yep
yaps_02: yep...
yaps_02: he teaches the truth...
dragon_flip24: yeah
yaps! we fight more!

the evolution of pepseeh
last night, i was telling julian and mayee to find something. in the gist of it, i stumbled upon my old blog (http://pepseeh.blogspot.com) and reread the old entries. me and julian were laughing at them, and all the while i was amazed at the way i blogged back then. i guess i was trying to be funny and witty, which i have achieved to some extent only recently. i also figured that the overuse of long sentences were my downfall.
i also found in the old pepseehcola archives the sole reason why the principal should've gotten me, and not leiron. i mean, with that post it's going to take me farther than an oral warning.
i'm not going to put up a link to that, because i'm not stupid - you find it for yourselves.
now, i'm probably blogging smarter than before. and that's a good thing. good day to you :P

has the madness been and gone?
earlier today i was reading thoroughly through st. malachy's prophecies. (for those who don't know, his prophecies accurately describe popes. he prophesizes that the last pope will be named peter the roman, and so on and so forth...) although a feeling in my gut tells me that they're probably not gonna happen, i can't help but admit and accept that the fact that his evidence and his prophecies are actually very credible.
and now, i don't know which way to look.
although it's been said that the prophecy has been thrown somewhat out of whack due to the fact that ratzinger is a german and not french (which st. malachy prophecized him to be) but that's just a small thing. some other prophecies say that ratzinger's supposed to be the bad guy.
it's still all speculations from here - the pope hasn't been pope for a week yet.

it's lime green
wrestlemania 21 was sort of missing an 'it' factor. must be the lack of tag-team action.
nothing beats michael vs. angle (that sort of stole the show, but the prospects of a title changing hands is a headliner too), and edge has got the money in the bank.
has anyone got a formula for daivari? 'cause, you know, i already have a working hassan in my file.
don't take away the music is seriously stuck in my head.

new (european) pope. (!)
i got this from joe's blog. it's fun. a lot.
Romeo Bascon Moran's Aliases |
Your movie star name: Cheezy Romeo |
Your fashion designer name is Romeo London |
Your socialite name is Epep Alabang |
Your fly girl / guy name is R Mor |
Your detective name is Tiger La Salle |
Your barfly name is Cheezy Cali |
Your soap opera name is Bascon Emerald |
Your rock star name is Lush Edge |
Your star wars name is Rommax Morjam |
Your punk rock band name is The Annoyed Windvane |
quite annoying :P
before i was even awake...
jam: we have a pope! cardinal joseph ratzinger will now be known as pope benedict xvi. watch cnn! (i checked bbc, since that was the only channel i found in time)
me: and he's... european?
jam: from germany
me: whoop-dee-doo. at least he fills the gap.
jam: what gap?
me: the pope gap.
jam: oh yeah =)
so i don't need to blog about the new pope, since from here 'til then on, i have counted 4 blogs in my rss feed list (and 1 that's not on the list, making it 5) that have blogged extensively about pope benedict xvi. my only disappointment is, once again, the cardinals have not bothered to elect a pope which doesn't hail from europe. but, what can i do about that? i'm not a cardinal.
i doubt this one will live to be pope as long as karol did - i mean, he's 78.
by the way, i don't know if anyone had even thought about this, but there has been an asian pope, and his name is St. Peter. yep. the apostle. and Jesus is asian. ever thought about that, kiddies?

the original title of this blog would have offended most people.
i guess i was wrong in assuming that shawn michaels's reputation precedes him, and only a few people actually know who he is, or have simply heard of his name (or maybe they do know his name but not his image). no worries, though. he's still the best.
anyway, earlier today, phim commandeered the remote and switched it over to the noontime variety shows. wowowee was decent (aside from the fact that one contestant, when asked to choose a prize from the bundle, asked for an mp3. [player]) but eat bulaga! proves that some people still live under rocks. a couple of them:
question: "anong pelikula ang may sequel na 'the lost world'?" (for those who don't know, it's jurassic park.)
contestant: "dinosaur."
luckily the other contestant was smart enough to provide the right answer. but that's not the same story for the next one:
question: "saang 'c' matatagpuan ang quebec?" (again, for those who really don't know, it's in canada. but you should know that.)
contestant 1: "cuba."
contestant 2: "china."
whoot. that's some part of the reason why i don't like people who cannot speak proper english.

new layout. i believe everyone is familiar with the heartbreak kid.
if you sharp eyes spot the jagged lines in hbk's picture, then forgive me for it; i couldn't cut it properly, although i tried my best to.

well i never knew how far behind i left you
to anyone who might be wondering why i was at the party: justin was invited, so my mom asked me if i wanted to tag along. and i was happy to :P although i actually got more than what i bargained for.
okay. i'm torn in two. ever since it became clear to me that s-b will only be a quick and distant memory of our high school lives, i don't know what next year's going to be like. i say to myself that i have accepted that s-b is now gone, but inside, i still can't get over it. i mean, finally - a year without too much assholes making the class undesirable for me. and now, all of us in s-b's been pushed back to reality. reality hurts, doesn't it, s-b?
sana kaklase ko si julian. at si leiron. at si mark. at si rodney. i must be a really lucky guy to get those wishes.
another "kuya accomplishment", aka "something for me to be really proud of" - my sister's in s-b. and no, i don't need a mini-me, i think the world can handle enough of me already. :P
a toast to the music class of sophomore year 2004-2005. because we are THAT damn good.

i decline
no, i'm not gay. if i was, i wouldn't have a maiden to worship and adore. in other words, i'm not gay - nor stupid.
i'm currently having trouble on writing a blog whose topic will be so controversial that i am still in debate on whether to post it or not. and, it's still in the draft part, which makes it convey a rather different message.
[EDIT] explanations of blogs gone by
19 comments are the most i've gotten in quite a long time (anyone still remember "are you a shit?"). 19 comments, five of which are written in my own hand, either praising those who side with me or giving a rash rebuttal (one was telling off leiron). two people are telling me that i'm anti-love.
no, i'm not anti-love. i'm very much in love myself. but love's too strong a word, so you suggest a word for it. infatuated? i doubt that.
no, i'm not pessimistic about love right now. i'm feeling rather optimistic myself, and that's just me, really.
what i did in that blog was broke down the concept of the "monthsary" in my own method, and i just finished rereading the facts, so now i've drawn up a conclusion. you are free to argue with me - i love a good argument.
the idea of the monthsary, generally, is to celebrate a relationship that has stood for a month. a month is a relatively short time - 4 weeks or 30 days, at average. but why do you need to celebrate standing long for a month? a year is generally more impressive - for 12 months you've stood. going back, you want to celebrate a month of standing strong? how come? because you're afraid that any minute now, your relationship will crumble and fall apart? you want to celebrate now because you're afraid that you'll be single next month? if you love your partner, will you really doubt the two of you? is that the amount of faith you have in your relationship? i'm telling you, if you believe you and your partner can go the long run, you need not celebrate the "monthsary" because you believe that you can withstand whatever bullshit is thrown between you and your partner. a "monthsary" would be pointless for you because you can go on living with each other's affections for a year.
done. now, your turn. argue with me. come on.

scaramouche, scaramouche, will you do the fandango?
anti-monthsary rant part 2: the lighter side.
yaps: anyhoo... any new entries?
me: nope..
yaps: maybe new comments
yaps: lemmecheck
me: leiron and mayee, namely the people who aren't single, disagree with me
yaps: it's bbbbulshit
yaps: now that's funny
yaps: you sound like lewis black
me: taken from mr. deeds
yaps: alam mo ang masama... kung ang monthsary nyo kasabay ng monthly ng babae... paano kayo mag lalplapan?
me: that is, kung may plano kayong maglaplapan
yaps: that's the only reason a monthsary was created
yaps: couples suck
me: how'd you know that
yaps: american culture
me: who made it up anyway?
yaps: teens with short attention spans
me: aka idiots?
yaps: yep
me: i see
yaps: tayo... monthsary na ba natin?
yaps: hindi naman tayo bumibilang, right?
me: duhh
yaps: and we're supposed to be the gay couple of the year
me: i thought we were keeping our relationship professional
yaps: but we're still gay =))
me: =))
*for the record, i would like to state that the gay thing is a running joke. heck, i have to stay away - it might grow on me.

monthsaries. true holiday, or pointless celebration? you decide!
what is it with monthsaries? really? i think this [stupid and annoying] trend started last year - when 5-20% of sophomore-b weren't single anymore. now, i've just come to the conclusion that in fact, the holiday known as the "monthsary" is actually pointless and stupid.
"why's that, peps?" you ask.
well, for one, a real anniversary would be better to celebrate. you've held on for one year, for urza's sake! wouldn't that be better to celebrate?
another would be the characteristic uncertainty of a relationship. sure, you can be together now, but no one ever knows if you'd still be together in june. it's easy to pull yourselves together for a month to celebrate - which would make it sort of pointless. a real achievement is pulling yourselves together for a year. then we can say, "dammit, these guys have been together for a year!"
and a personal reason - i'm getting quite irritated when i hear/see a "happy monthsary". heck, it doesn't even sound good, or grammatically correct, for that matter. if ever this tradition doesn't fade away (unlike, you know, friendster, and like, you know, blogs), then someone please do me a favor and change the name. "monthsary" on its own sounds like crap and has no meaning whatsoever.
that's it. my rant's finished.
angry mob of happy monthsary-celebrating couples, unite!

can i just leave this one untitled? thanks.
let me join too.
1) write something about fifteen different people.
2) you can't say who they are - it would make this pointless.
3) if someone asks you about them, you can't tell - it would also make it pointless.
moving on:
1. my best friend. although i am the one smarter between us, he still comes through. premier sleep-over provider. diomampolution member.
2. founder of diomampolution. bonding with him and tito pete during father and son ;) i seriously want diomampolution jackets.
3. my chatmate (and considered best friend) for the longest time running. he declares himself stupid (and i agree). deteriorated due to ragna.
4. the rich guy who was mugged. i still want to inflict pain on your muggers, man. has the most girl trouble and has the most unstable persona.
5. the one whom i share the notebook with. we share each other's problems through the sacred notebook, which only us can read and write in. (psst, to you, it's being threatened!)
6. my sister; sister number 1. co-great mind. 1/2 of the spongebob sisters (aka my sisters as well) and the one who usually laughs at what i say. (no offense, sister number 2.)
7. my sister; sister number 2. the one whom i miss the most. 1/2 of the spongebob sisters (aka my sisters as well) and the one who is usually closer to me. (no offense, sister number 1.)
8. my jedi master. many people consider this guy to be a jerk. still, he's good and a good comedian. we are working on a sitcom project.
9. leiron usually picks on this girl. it's not my hobby anymore. the girl who has a lot of problems with her semi-dysfunctional guy.
10. the girl who claims she is usually unfazed by my being annoying. aka [still] the maiden. she once threatened to manifest herself behind me - for no good reason. ;)
11. may pole girl. i've never met another girl like this one. her tolerance for the more awkward topics leads to better conversations, longer laughs, and of course, the greener jokes. ;)
12. baller brother number one. aka the less vocally-inclined one. we usually talk about the more serious games.
13. baller brother number two. aka the more annoying one. if he doesn't stop, i usually resort to an ankle lock. we usually talk about pokemon and whatever it is we're playing on the game boy. wala ka namang alam eh.
14. idol.
15. supplier of rumors. the one who usually borrows the romance novels from the lrc, and is infamous for doing so. why? read some for yourself and find out. avid borrower of books - has certificates to prove it.
guess!
as a side note, i chanced upon manda's blog. i found it well-written, which makes it better among others'. it's less on the wordy and more on how each sentence delivers a message. amazing ;)
that's all - you can't see me, my time is now.

destruction is... imminent? undefined.
the pope has passed away. websites all around the globe about prophecies say that the end is near. the vatican is in a major huddle right now. for one, i would like to see a non-european (read: american, asian, or even black) pope to succeed karol wojtyla in st. peter's chair.
here's something to think about.
okay, people are going around saying that we should all pray for the pope. if he is the pope, being a symbol of christians everywhere, being the appointed leader of the religion, being the successor of peter, being the one supposedly holiest among us in our lifetime, why does he need to be prayed for?
if you're saying that we have to pray for his soul to enter heaven, wouldn't he have something equivalent to an e-pass in our superhighways? he wasn't sinful, now was he? you wouldn't need to pray for his soul, he's got it made already.
so, can anyone tell me why you need to pray for his soul? because when i hear that phrase, i assume that someone needs help on going to heaven. someone please kindly clear that up for me?

after receiving curses and insults in my comments box for the past blog entry (although i gotta warn you now, that's a real prospect that may happen sooner or later in my life - seriously), i am here to apologize and lay it all down for everyone. :P
yes, that was an april fool's joke.
yes, it worked as i had planned.
yes, almost everyone who had read it was fooled.
thank you, you do care for me (mwahahahaha).
i believe i've weaved a plot so intricate and convincing, that i can hide the secret message "APRIL FOOLS" located by collecting the first letters of each paragraph (aside from the last sentence)! truly, i can say that almost all of you have taken the bait. (by the way kaycee, what will happen if i leave the orchestra?)
now, i will run from the angry mob that is all of you who read my blog. =)) good day! (backlash results later)

the new beginning that i was very much afraid of
as you might not know, my father's a civil engineer. he's involved in the design and construction of buildings, having done both overseas (middle east) and local (think, splash island - yeah, he was involved there, seriously) projects. heck, he even works at school (contractual).
proven, he's one of the best in his job (over here, at least) - he constantly gloats about his accomplishments as a child and the fact that he can spend time off the office whenever he likes/needs to, since he's one of the best at work - meaning, he's quite deserving of it. his former boss has such a lot of faith in him. they're still in touch with each other.
rowing along, i'll discuss the topic today. he's such a good man in his job that they're offering him a job in the US. pasadena, california, to be specific. if he were to accept that offer, his salary would be high (at least, that's what he tells us), which is a good thing for all of us. if he were to take that offer, obviously, he would have to migrate. the catch: he would have to take us along, too.
i groaned loudly, but said, "fine".
longing for him to decline the offer, and after days and nights of brainstorming and discussions with us, he had made his decision: yes, he would take the offer and move us along to california. sadly that decision is irreversible. i know - if it was me, i wouldn't have taken the offer. but it's for the future, he says.
from today, we have two weeks before we leave.
oh, great, i think. don't blame me; it's like i have a choice anyway. goodbye, philippines. goodbye, memories. goodbye, friends. goodbye, sb. i'll surely miss all of you and all of the memories we had together. i'll post a lengthier and a more specific farewell the day before we go.
oh, how i would regret that moment when he broke the news to us. hopefully, my future there would be better. i was even thinking of presenting myself as romeo, not pepi (that name's for all of you here).
look, don't be sad. we'll still keep in touch, right? i know i'll still be logging on, and if given the chance, will wake up veery early in the morning just to log on to ym and chat with you, like i did last summer. (that was fun, by the way - sneaking around on a cold dawn.)
soon, two weeks from now, i'll be boarding two planes on another long, boring flight, contemplating on What Comes Next for me. and in the process, i'll miss all of you. i'll miss this place. dammit. if only i had a choice; but sadly, i don't. anyway, i guess i'll stop here. until the next blog.
by the way, before you comment - do you know the date today?

step in the arena and break the walls down
as most of you might know already, julian has been mugged at town by some fratboy assclowns. if only i knew what they looked like, they'll be earning a spear each from me. don't get me wrong though, they will get a spear. sooner or later. (julian, birthday ko ha? sama-sama tayo :P)
anyway, the latest wwe commercials that are aired at solar quite amuse me. i mean, come on, who's jack?

someone here still doesn't get it. i think.
*sigh* time for my usual freedom-of-speech-in-blogs rant.
see, i was reading mark's blog and i saw his latest post. although it may be a really old post (two months old), it got my adrenaline started because apparently - someone still doesn't get it. well, a part of it. it's on the topic of leiron and, you know.
here's what he posted (thankfully it's quite short):
NEVER!!...i repeat..NEVER!!...EVERR!!! PUT AN INSULT TO SOMEONE IN THE NET ESPECIALLY IF HES A SCHOOL OFFICIAL!!!! you might share she same fate as leiron did... kasi pwede kang makasuhan nito at makulong.. and another thing.. wag tatanga tanga pag nag susulat sa blog.. alam ko lag galit ka na gusto mong magwala sa iyong blog...pero naman.. isipin mo mababasa nang maraming tao iyan..at baka may mag sumbong kung may masamang meaning yan.. kaya dudes.. calm down lng..hehe..."
once more - i will dissect. the most scientific way to go.
ayan tingan nyo nalang ang napala nang aking kaibigan...muntikan na siyang ma kick out sa ginawa nya - that's just 75% of your facts, mark. leiron was never in the danger of getting kicked out.
tatanga tanga kasi - true.
hinde nya naisip na pag nakita iyon nang principal namin ay siya ay makakasuhan... - i've confirmed this a thousand and one times: under the right circumstances, and i assure you, leiron was under the right circumstances, you cannot, in a million years, be punished for this. yaps said it; blog at home. which he (leiron) did.
- you're saying we should screw the constitution? he was exercising freedom of speech; what leiron did was neither right nor wrong, it borders on the neutral. if the principal ever decided to punish leiron, that would be counted as a personal vendetta - and that wouldn't be very fair, now would it?
sabi nga nang tatay ko na pwede ka pa nga makulong sa mga gawaing ganyan! - if we were under marcos, yeah, it's possible. but that's a very big if (obviously).
kaya guys and girls...learn this lesson.. NEVER!!...i repeat..NEVER!!...EVERR!!! PUT AN INSULT TO SOMEONE IN THE NET - talk about a hypocrite. how come i see, "janvit bakla" in your blog? hehe - it's all good anyway.
ESPECIALLY IF HES A SCHOOL OFFICIAL!!!! - if very very necessary to do so only. see my paascu rants. factual example: i recall that the freshmen's (aka incoming sophomore) CL teacher loved to curse (a lot) during basketball games. what a huge hypocrite, man. (did i get that mr. delos santos correctly? it might be a different one, but i think that's him - not sir rolly though)
you might share she same fate as leiron did... kasi pwede kang makasuhan nito at makulong.. - does anyone else know that i was actually waiting for my turn? since i knew i would be caught sooner or later, i prepared a small diatribe. anyway, as said above, the last sentence is null and void.
and another thing.. wag tatanga tanga pag nag susulat sa blog.. alam ko lag galit ka na gusto mong magwala sa iyong blog...pero naman.. isipin mo mababasa nang maraming tao iyan..at baka may mag sumbong kung may masamang meaning yan.. kaya dudes.. calm down lng..hehe... - you can never tell someone how or what to write in his or her blog (unless the content drives the blog to the point where it is literally and/or figuratively unreadable. *ubo* julian was like that back then...) i believe that the weblog has risen to the level where it is considered a form of art, and it can be a masterpiece if you do it properly and in an entertaining way (and as a side note, i also believe that the most degenerate kind of blog is the blog that usually describes what happened during your day. the second most degenerate is the one that has a lot of spelling and grammar errors.). you cannot calm down when you absolutely have to write about someone you hate or when you have to express your joy. so if you read a blog and are thus offended, remember two things: you cannot change what is written, and the red x button is free to use.
lol. i guess all of you are used to this kind of rant already. sorry, i couldn't let it pass up :P
have a nice day ;)

insidious dreams
i had a weird dream last night, and it didn't happen once (it happened many times before). you see, the plotlines of this dream would not be extraordinary, except for one property that is strange enough in itself - the fact that my teeth would feel like i was wearing braces, although i would find that there were nothing on it. they also seem to be fixed in the dream world. when i would wake up, this feeling would disappear. i don't know how it would affect my teeth in the future, but at least, now i know how it feels to be wearing braces.

radio los santos
let me tell you, my head (brain, for that matter) is amazing. there's this radio that is internally controlled, and even i can't change its playlist. back when we were taking the algebra finals, i was constantly bugged by the playing of that old janet jackson song. now, it's playing 98 degrees - invisible man. i don't know why, though. i don't have excuses for most of the songs it plays.
with that said, let me also tell you that i've begun playing grand theft auto: san andreas. my stations of choice are radio los santos, csr, and master sounds 98.3 (good jazz).
"it ain't jeffrey no more! it's og loc! i'm gangsta now!"
my explanation on the edit part: okay, when i read his inbox (see, readers, you have to understand this point. i am a nosy pendejo. i can't resist.) i felt enormous sympathy for my brother that i did not know what i could possibly do with that emotion welled up inside. so, i wrote about it. i do know that it's exposed for the public to freely read, and there's another ulterior motive up that sleeve - i'm not a brother who just sits there without a care in the world when something wrong is happening to my siblings. they're family and they're homies. so, i may have been wrong in exhibiting my brother's affairs, but i thought i could do something by expressing my sympathy. but i found that i have done that wrong, and i sincerely apologize.
in any case, HILAW! is going to be updated tonight.

not fun. not fun at all.
i hate being sick. i fell ill due to some unknown reason (probably the un-summerish occasion of rain) and now - yeah, i have slight fever. what now? lying in the bed has its pros and cons - i found out that when i wasted my morning and late afternoon yesterday napping, sleep didn't bother me until 2 am. and, i theorized that i sweat much more when i'm on the pc.
(i thought sleep was supposed to help - i took a nap with a low temperature and woke up burning.)
i need a bath seriously - my hair looks like a crow nested on my head with wings outstretched. so, my hair measures 2 - 3 inches (side view). but if i do, that's like jumping on a lit stove.
and, not only that, but whenever i'm in bed and phim is on the pc, i have to stand his horrible singing. my god; i've never heard jopay sound so bad (the next worse thing would be pauline singing it) and awit ng kabataan sung so low. (i guess i'm the only one in this household can scream like that on a perfect day :D)
hey, at least i conquered china and korea, and i'm allied with mongolia. i will now attack france on my next scenario :D
remember, "no matter what, no matter when, no matter who, any man can sweep a woman off her feet - you just need the right broom." (wala lang.)

hitch with me here.
ah, thank you for your one-liners for the previous blog entry - i assumed that even if they're so minimalist and conservative, there's a lot of feeling under the skin.
anyway. i hope God blesses you with the gall to read this post.
yesterday, we had the usual gimmick to celebrate the beginning of summer. (although i couldn't claim for summer to have begun yet. in a few days' time, it will.) the activity in town that took up 70% of our time was the movie hitch. yea, it was enlightening, but it covered stuff i already knew about. but for those who weren't able to watch (let me say as a side note that my brother and his, um, friends, vicky you get the point, were watching with us in the other side of the theatre), let me get the point across for now.
first off, alex hitchens is what his clients call a "date doctor". (quite a profession for those in desperation.) oh, by the way, that's will smith, mind you, but you already knew that. anyway, i won't spoil any plot for you, but i will tell you the reason why he has a... this job.
there are some guys who are players, and there are some guys who are losers. now most players are jerks, most often looking for a one-night stand. (basic principle #2: don't imagine what she looks like naked.) now, those are the idiots who probably in the current metagame (read: the present) will not be able to score a lot because of their agenda, and those are the idiots mr. hitchens blatantly refuses to work with. why? because they're idiots.
as for the losers' side of the game, these people need hitch the most. (like me, but that's a different story already...) you see, unless you're a total thick-faced dumbass, you cannot just go up to a pretty girl you like and say,
"hi, my name is jan vitaliano mamawal, and i like you a lot. would you like to go out with me?"
no.
just no.
so you require a game plan, but not every person is capable enough of concocting a strategy so impressive and with flair to win, at least, the attention of the girl in your mind. (objective: shock and awe.) that's where will smi-- i mean, hitch, comes in. yeah, he'll help you do all those things and be your coach, as long as you keep one thing in mind: it's going to be long-term. no one-night stands. (sorry, giselle.)
now that i've mentioned that not every guy knows how to walk up to a girl and talk, here's where the other part comes in. there is a great fear among men that, when they ask a girl to [try and] commit to them, they will be rejected. this is the sole reason why boys are torpe. i know, i know, you girls will probably go, "how will you know if you don't try?" why? because we have this thing in us that annoys most people around guys, called the ego. (aka pride, reputation, etc.) now if you're rejected, your pride has been wounded, and that's not half as good. going back, this is where hitch helps you (the guy who is standing there feeling miserable of himself -- you know who you are, mr. ******. yes, i know you.) because you need help.
hitch: "i'm doing this so that the 'losers' have a fighting chance."
so please think about that whenever you're depressed and thinking that nobody loves you - you just need to know someone who actually does.

- you are playing the guitar during FL, or just doing other shit.
- you catcall whenever the words "sir lasap" is mentioned in the presence of ms. rogador, and vice versa.
- you know very well the mixture of naphtalene and congo red.
- the name "corky" comes to your mind when the words "drugs" or "smoking" is mentioned.
- you greet divine a merry christmas.
- the name "nani" or "sol" comes to your mind when discussing fat and/or obesity.
- you count annamykell as one person.
- you bow before kim.
- you consider trig very important only in the college entrance exams.
- you eat whatever during FL.
- you have bonded throughout countless english practices.
- you sing along with nani or jimmo.
- you have a blog.
- you, along with 20+ other people, are excused for tech rehearsal.
- you can sing rivermaya, bamboo, sugarfree, e-heads, mayonnaise, and others.
- you find yourself eating candy (distributed by sir lasap) every time you take a final exam.
- you are disturbed by a "[insert number] minutes" from sir lasap whenever you're taking a final exam.
- you hear one of the teachers mention in class that this section is one of their favorites.
- you know who alan is.
- you will miss sophomore-b 2004-2005.
and finally:
- you are that damn good.
o sige, that's it. it's not the post i promised on the previous blog entry, but hey...

kani-kanina lang / best of 2004-2005
well, i guess i should wait before posting something like this on wednesday, but after being driven to the verge of tears (just the verge) by mama's farewell song, i realized that i just couldn't wait.
sophomore year has gone by with a blink of an eye. it seemed like yesterday that i:
*in no particular order*
- arrived at s-b early, finding that leiron and ping were already there. it seemed that sophomore-c's classroom underwent a flood due to the new aircons.
- was shouted at by mama for going to my locker and trying to get my pad paper.
- was pleasantly surprised to see sir tom back after days of suspense as to who the new teacher is. our speculations were ms. rica. (close enough.)
- had our recollection. i'm sorry angelic for crushing you with my sharp elbow :P
- had our outreach[es]. i guess everyone still remembers or has already forgotten about this one.
- had a string of practices for the intrams dance. i hope i'm not the only one still remembering the "naphtalene + congo red" mixture here...
- papa threatened to leave us for another section. but since we're so magnetic, i for one am glad that he changed his mind. imagine leaving *us*! heaven forbid!
- practicing for act four of romeo and juliet. what was annal's line again? what was it? i don't remember. can anyone help me out? did it go something like, "but we'll be short of food!"?
- afternoon delight's bonding memories.
- two concerts. "1.. 2.. 3.. 4! you talk too much..." haay. someone needs a circumcision. and lilo and steech. scroll down for previous blog entries ;)
- christmas party. I WANT AN "I LOVE SIR LASAP" SHIRT!!!
- "going back..."
and that's just what i remember right now. next week, i'll be throwing the last batch of quotes, since there is more comedy during finals exams (this is proven with evidence that i will show you on that particular blog entry.)
people who are exempted in all subjects, happy resting. (damn what a plug :P)
[EDIT] this edit is tailored to interest magic players. after the first paragraph, you won't know what i'm talking about if you do not play this game.
i was reading through my younger brother's diary (yes, I'm a nosy little goblin) and lo and behold, i found that he designed a couple of cards. they're seriously out of flavor (except for the first one), but the thing is, he designed some cards (even if he doesn't play magic.). mana sa kuya (i design cards and post them in the brainburst forums).
here they are, note that he wrote his own yu-gi-oh-inspired flavor text and adorned it with art that is very good in my standards:
Leonin Mutantkiller (there is no mana cost nor p/t, so let me fix it) - 3W
Creature - Cat Knight (?)
Whenever a Plains comes into play, Leonin Mutantkiller gets +0/+1 until end of turn.
Leonins have new enemies, mutants. (what mutants?)
2/2
and the next one:
Leaden Goblin (again, no mana cost nor p/t, and looks more like a viashino if you ask me) - 2R
Creature - Goblin Warrior
First strike
Whenever an artifact an opponent controls is put into a graveyard from play, Leaden Goblin gets +0/+1 until end of tern.
If Humans have a captin, so do Goblins. (umm..yeah.)
2/2
anyway, it was I who corrected the oracle wording (you'd laugh if you saw the original wording). things like these make me so proud to be a kuya *tear* :P [/EDIT]

please join the OFFAL movement.
got this survey from vicky, who in turn, got this off friendster. may nagffriendster pa pala. anyway... (with added translation for fun and profit.)
Friendster Survey about school! (Prenster Sarbey Abawt Iskul/Sarbey sa "Friendster" Ukol sa Paaralan)
1. San ka naghighschool? (Where is your high school?) - La Salle Zobel.
2. fave mong tambayan sa skul? (What is your favorite standby area in school?) - Canteen. PA Office. Labas ng S-B. :P
3. madalas ka sa library?? (Are you a library common?) - Si Hans madalas. :P
4. kumakain ka sa canteen? (Do you eat in the canteen?) - If I am hungry, I will.
5. npalabas ka na ba sa library??? (Have you been kicked out of the library?) - I believe I was at some point.
6. eh sa classroom?? (What about the classroom?) - Yes! By Ms. Duco; because I left my book at home and I was poking fun at Rocky.
7. bumagsak ka na ba sa ibang subjects mo? (Have you failed your other subjects?) No. Just close calls.
8. ano fave mong subject? (What is your favorite subject?) As of now, Chemistry. Medyo biased, but hey, I'd also take Sir Pats's Comp Sci.
9. nag-cutting ka na ba khit mnsan? (Have you cut classes even sometimes? *note: direct translation.*) I believe I haven't. No good reason to.
10. nahuli ka na bang nangongopya?? (Have you been caught copying?) Not yet >=D
11. nwalan ka na ba ng cel sa skul? (Have you lost a cell in school?) Anong cell? Body cell? Brain cell? Skin cell? Cellphone? Never. Other types of cells, yeah. Brain cell mostly due to FL and LCLE.
12. eh money? (And money?) When I was a carefree little idiot kid who racked up honors. (Really, I used to.)
13. subject(s) u like least? (Paksang hindi mo nagustuhan?) As of now, Algebra.
14. may crush ka ba sa skul? (Do you have a crush in school?) Anong klaseng tanong ba naman yan?
15. mdmi ka ba kilala na nde mo clasm8s? (Are there many people you have met but are not your classmates?) Yes.
16. active ka ba sa mga campings? (Are you active during campings?) Yes.
17. mdmi ka ba admirers sa skul? (Have you many admirers in school?) I am not Professor X; how am I supposed to know?
18. cno partner mo nung js?? (Who was your partner during JS?) My partner in the non-existent JS prom for Sophomores is... I don't know. She doesn't exist.
19. lgi ka ba late? (Are you often late?) Only if giselle is holding up the line in the bookstore.
20. lgi ka ba absent? (Are you often absent?) If I'm ill. Pero sino ba gustong mag-absent?
21. du u wear ur id ol d tym? (Do you wear your ID all the time?) It rotted with my wallet, and rightfully so; it bears my ugly grade 6 mug. The yearbook pic was better, mind you.
22. how much do u spend daily? (Magkano ang iyong iginagasta araw-araw?) Let's see... a) Hot Shots for P45 and a large Mango Teazer for P22, that would make P67, b) Bacon Double-Decker for P39.50 and a large Mango Teazer for P22, making for P63.50, or c) Hot Shots for P45 and a Blue/Red/Orange Virgin for P20, making for P65. God, I miss the old Teazers guy; he would prepare my drink before I even said a word. At least Priscilla still knows my preferred condiments.
23. have a crush on a student teacher? (Ikaw ba'y nagkagusto sa isang batang guro?) Ehh... no. Yaps, is our plan to beat up the P.E. teacher still on?
24. do u write legibly? (Matino ba sulat mo?) More legible than most guys. Only slightly more legible than Chris.
25. use cel inside ur room? (Gumamit ng selpon sa loob ng silid-aralan?) If I forgot to turn it off.
26. mdmi ka ba nkktang magxota sa skul? (Do you see many loving couplse in school?) Do I really have to cough here?
27. ilan dnadla mo notbuks? (How many notebooks do you bring?) A lot. Russell, remember Tomes I and II? I still haven't gotten around finishing Tome of Ages I. It's sad.
28. eh books? (And books?) Is my paperback copy of RotK still rotting in my bag?
29. canteen or library? If there were PCs at the canteen and everyone was on the Brainburst Forums or playing MODO. MODO, not Ragnarok. (Magic Online with Digital Objects.)
30. absent or cut classes? Absent.
31. write or listen? (Sulat o makinig?) Write in the book. By the way; fozzy, we have one last week to finish book 2. Unless one of us is willing to write over the summer.
32. sec 1 or 2? If 1 is equivalent to A and 2 equivalent to B and so on and so forth, then I would have to be section 2.
33. no teachers or no classes? Teachers like papa.
34. ballpen or pencil? Ballpen. Especially the engraved one Ryan got me for Christmas.
35. writing lectures or writing nonesense things? Nonsense things on the notebook.
and i guess that's that. ;)

it just sucks. period.
after muntinlupa day, we step inside the classroom. everything goes well until we hit algebra. it seems that ms. ortiguero has been ordered to give us these worksheets about overpopulation. it goes on in filipino, english, and cl. (there always seems to be a fruitful discussion in english. lol.) heck, it goes on in t.h.e., and lo and behold, we were crestfallen as ms. ruiz announces more worksheets. (at least she has enough heart to discuss it with us! unlike ortiguero; she just leaves us to our own devices.)
to be honest, at first, i thought it seemed interesting (maybe because the first activity was going to the CAI lab, sir porn's territory). during the next day, in the damned worksheet #2 in algebra, we were all annoyed because we do not like analyzing bad mimeos of graphs. at least, ortiguero was aware that we all hated worksheet #2.
the only LCLE i liked was the one about modernistic poems.
it has already been confirmed that the innovator of this useless teaching strategy is the dear principal (yet againnnnnnnn. although i do not enjoy ranting about you anymore, i am once again compelled to.) and it was clear that the teachers didn't like it too. (i, for one, noticed this already in the tone of ortiguero's voice. and another thing; i've just been informed that this teaching strategy was recommended by the paascu.) why must the HEAD of the whole damned administration be a puppet of the PAASCU? and he/she/it told the teachers (when they were voicing out their negative feedback) that they should try it for 2-3 days before complaining.
guess what: we've tried it, and we didn't like it. we did not learn anything except that the philippines is an overpopulated dump. i'd like to see you sit in one of our armchairs (not mine, though) and take the carpets of worksheets given to us. please. i dare you.
graphing the population growth rate is useless. learning info about contraceptives is rather useful.
anyway, i'll let it go since it's the first time something unfortunate like this has happened to us. the next time you want to get a point across, do not give us carpets of worksheets. tell us we're so overpopulated and we need to cut it down, and we'll believe you.

if you don't like, then don't
Hari ng dedmahan ng
Teleponong apat na magdamag nang `di umiimik
Kung `di ka tatawagan
May pag-asa kayang maisip mo ako't biglang ma-miss
At me katok pa yata'ng doorbell n'yo
Magtatatlong oras na `ko dito
Hindi kita mapipilit kung ayaw mo
`Wag mo akong isipin bahala ka
Hindi kita mapipigil kung balak mong
Ako'y iwanang nag-iisa
Hindi kita mapipilit kung ayaw mo
